Newly appointed Education Minister Pralhad Joshi has shared his first remarks since the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, was cleared by the Lok Sabha. He stated that by introducing tougher punishments and fast-track courts to combat exam-related cheating, the legislation intends to break the cycle of paper leaks and boost openness in the testing system. Joshi took over the role following the departure of Dharmendra Pradhan.
