ED Chief Rahul Navin gets one-year tenure extension
On Sunday, the central government announced a one-year extension for ED director Rahul Navin, keeping him in the role until August 2027. A 1993-batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, Navin first joined the Enforcement Directorate as a special director in 2019. He served as the agency's interim head starting in September 2023 and was officially named the full-time director in August 2024.
