Drones deployed for rescue and supply drops in flood-stricken Nepal
In flood-affected Nepal, drones were used to transport seven bodies from remote parts of Nuwakot that were unreachable by ground crews. Personnel from the Nepal Police, the Army, and GarudX carried out these operations. Over a three-day period, the drones also successfully delivered 1.5 tonnes of essential relief materials and conducted a survey of a waterlogged hydropower tunnel, where approximately 900 workers are still unaccounted for.
