DRDO conducts successful trial of homegrown military parachute at 22,000 feet
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has completed a successful test of a locally developed military combat parachute in Ladakh at an elevation of 22,000 feet. According to the DRDO, the system was evaluated at one of the highest altitude drop zones globally. MWO Vivek Tiwari performed the jump from 22,000 feet, successfully deploying the parachute at 20,000 feet and completing a safe landing at 13,700 feet.
