DRDO conducts successful trial of home-grown combat parachute at 22,000 feet
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has completed a successful test of its locally made Military Combat Parachute System in Ladakh at an altitude of 22,000 feet. During the exercise, jumpers touched down at 13,700 feet while facing freezing temperatures reaching -15°C. According to the DRDO, the test took place at Nyoma, which is among the highest altitude locations globally.
