Dortmund's 18-year-old Karetsas stretchered off field during UCL debut
Just 25 minutes into his UEFA Champions League (UCL) debut against Villarreal, Borussia Dortmund's Konstantinos Karetsas collapsed on the pitch. The 18-year-old had just passed the ball to a teammate when he gestured to the referee for help. Following medical attention on the field, he had to be carried off on a stretcher. According to the club, Karetsas suffered from circulatory issues and was transported to a hospital to undergo additional medical tests.
