Doctors remove peanut shell from toddler's airway after 15 days
Medical professionals at Fortis Hospital Yeshwanthpur successfully treated a 2-year-old child who had a peanut shell stuck in his airway for about two weeks. Because of the delay, the area became inflamed, which complicated the extraction process. Surgeons performed a two-hour emergency bronchoscopy to carefully take out the object. The boy was kept under observation in the PICU and was sent home once he made a full recovery.
