Doctors remove needles and hairpins from woman's stomach after rare disorder diagnosis
A woman living in Prayagraj, suffering from a rare eating disorder known as pica, had been consuming hazardous items such as bangles, hairpins, and needles over several days. Medical scans showed a collection of sharp objects lodged inside her abdomen. Surgeons conducted a two-and-a-half-hour operation to extract the items, which included six needles. Two of these needles had already pierced her intestinal wall and moved toward her right kidney.
