DMK claims Shivakumar pushed for Mekedatu dam while Vijay remained quiet at Shah-led meet
During the Southern Zonal Council meeting led by Home Minister Amit Shah, DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran stated that Karnataka CM DK Shivakumar actively advocated for the Mekedatu dam project on the Cauvery River. This comes amidst the ongoing water-sharing conflict between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Maran further alleged that Tamil Nadu CM Vijay failed to voice any objection against Shivakumar’s stance throughout the session.
