Despite US threats, Iran's Bank Melli continues operations in London and Dubai
According to a New York Times report, Bank Melli is still operating a branch in Dubai, even after 20 years of American sanctions and a vow from Trump advisor Scott Bessent that all of the bank's locations should be closed down. The bank's London office also remains active. A notice posted at the front entrance guides visitors to a side door, where roughly half a dozen individuals were observed inside.
