Delhi's 2025 election data shows link between low turnout and voter list deletions
According to a report by The Indian Express, districts in Delhi that experienced the poorest voter turnout during the 2025 Assembly elections also saw the most significant number of names removed from the draft electoral rolls during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Specifically, the South East district reported the highest deletion rate at 43.61% and simultaneously suffered from the lowest voter participation at 56.4%. Conversely, the Outer North district saw the fewest deletions at 24.32%, while the Northeast district achieved a turnout of 66.25%.
