Delhi schools make 3rd language compulsory for Class IX; failure bars students from Class X boards
Starting this academic year, the Delhi government has made it compulsory for Class IX students to study a third language. Any student who fails the third language exam in Class IX will be ineligible to sit for the Class X board exams. Additionally, the updated policy brings in two difficulty levels—common and advanced—for Mathematics and Science in Class IX, allowing students to choose between the two versions of these subjects.
