Delhi High Court puts stay on JNU's deprivation points for PG admissions
The Delhi High Court has ordered Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) to stop using its deprivation points model for postgraduate admissions for the 2026-27 academic year. The court noted that this policy allows the university to modify the scores students achieved in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), which undermines the integrity of the examination process. Under this system, applicants were eligible to be awarded as many as 12 deprivation points depending on various criteria.
