Delhi High Court orders assessment of menstrual hygiene facilities at police stations
The Delhi High Court has directed that menstrual hygiene amenities be improved across police stations. During the hearing of a petition, the court instructed the Delhi Police to conduct a survey of every police station over the next six weeks to determine if sanitary napkin vending machines are available and to provide a formal report. The petition also calls for the provision of improved restrooms and proper waste disposal systems for women.
