Delhi government approves private university bill with 25% local reservation
The Delhi Cabinet has given its nod to a draft law aimed at setting up and overseeing private universities within the city. Per the Delhi Private Universities Bill, 2026, one-quarter of all course seats will be set aside for local students. Within this quota, 5% of students will be granted a complete fee exemption, and another 10% will be eligible for a 50% discount on their fees.
