According to Delhi’s updated EV policy 2026, individuals purchasing electric vehicles are now responsible for submitting their own subsidy applications via an online portal. This must be completed within 30 days of their Registration Certificate (RC) being issued. Once approved, the funds will be deposited straight into bank accounts connected to the user's Aadhaar. Previously, this task was managed by vehicle dealers. This policy was implemented on July 1 and is scheduled to stay in place until 2030.
