DeepSeek buys 2.31% stake in Unitree Robotics for $20.8 million
Chinese artificial intelligence firm DeepSeek has put 140.8 million yuan ($20.8 million) into the Shanghai IPO of robot manufacturer Unitree Robotics, securing a 2.31% strategic interest. As part of the agreement, the two companies, both based in Hangzhou, will collaborate on creating AI models specifically for humanoid robots. This alliance aims to merge DeepSeek’s proficiency in model training with the mechanical engineering and motion control capabilities of Unitree.
