David Warner fined ₹1 lakh and handed alcohol interlock order for drink-driving
Former Australian cricket opener David Warner was found guilty of drink-driving following his arrest in April. A Sydney court imposed a fine of A$1,500, which is over ₹1 lakh. At the time of the incident, Warner was driving his family home and registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.104, exceeding the legal limit by more than double. As part of his sentence, he is required to have an alcohol interlock device fitted in his vehicle for the coming year.
