Dabur has filed a writ petition challenging the FSSAI's recent crackdown on '100%' product claims. According to a Moneycontrol report, the company alleges that the food safety regulator's directive was designed to benefit its rivals and "subserve business interests of other manufacturers." Dabur argued that the regulator's stance—which suggests that using a '100%' claim unfairly disparages competing products—lacks "an iota of reasoning." The company further stated that this order has placed approximately ₹150 crore worth of its inventory in jeopardy.
