Indian pugilist Arundhati Choudhary secured a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games even though she was suffering from a 102°F fever during the final match, according to her sister, Charulata. Charulata mentioned that their family was praying for her health leading up to the fight. Arundhati managed to beat England’s Chantelle Reid in the 70kg women’s final to take home the gold. It is worth noting that India secured a total of 7 boxing gold medals throughout the event.
