Sanjana has become the inaugural Indian weightlifter to be eliminated from the 2026 Commonwealth Games following three unsuccessful snatch attempts in the women's 77kg category. The 19-year-old athlete was unable to clear her starting weight of 94kg during any of her three tries. Previously, India's Nirupama Devi also exited her 63kg event after missing all three of her clean and jerk attempts.
