Cursor debuts Origin platform to compete with GitHub following SpaceX's $60B deal
The AI-focused coding firm Cursor has introduced Origin, a cloud-based service for hosting code that aims to challenge Microsoft's GitHub. This move comes just days after Elon Musk's SpaceX completed a $60 billion acquisition. Origin provides developers with tools to store, organize, and collaborate on projects, while also enabling Cursor's AI agents to perform direct edits within the repositories. Previously, Musk introduced an AI initiative called Macrohard to serve as a competitor to Microsoft.
