Corporate funding made up 62% of regional parties' donations over the last two years
An Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) report reveals that 40 regional political parties collected ₹872.538 crore from corporate donors during the 2023-24 and 2024-25 fiscal years, representing 62.36% of their total funding. Meanwhile, individual contributors provided ₹193.946 crore, or 13.86% of the total, even though they made up roughly 69% of all donation transactions. This ADR study focused on contributions exceeding ₹20,000.
