Consultancy firm ordered to pay ₹12 lakh to Punjab student over fake Canadian admission letter
The Chandigarh consumer commission has directed a visa consultancy agency to return ₹12.35 lakh to a student from Punjab. The firm failed to deliver the Canadian study visa and college admission it had guaranteed. Although the agency provided the student with an acceptance letter from a Canadian institution in 2022, the college later confirmed that no such admission existed under her name when she checked the details herself.
