CM promises safety to Taslima Nasreen during her Bengal visits
West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has promised exiled Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen complete protection during her future trips to the state. Adhikari stated, "It is my responsibility as CM to ensure your safety whenever you visit," while further encouraging her by saying, "You are welcome to come here as often as you like." Nasreen arrived back in Kolkata this Friday, marking her first visit in nearly 19 years.
