German climber Jost Kobusch amazed his online followers by launching a paraglider from an altitude of 7,119 metres, only 15 metres shy of the peak of Kyrgyzstan's Lenin Peak. Following years of effort to reach the summit, Kobusch called the high-altitude takeoff both intense and dreamlike. He noted that opting to fly down from the 7,000-metre mountain rather than walking back down was among his most unforgettable adventures.
