At least 40 individuals required hospital care following a chlorine gas leak at a water treatment site in Nagpur, Maharashtra, early Monday morning. The gas escaped from a 900-kg cylinder, drifting into surrounding neighborhoods and causing many locals to suffer from breathing issues and coughing. According to police reports, three to four patients are currently receiving intensive care.
