Chinese officials force social media users to remove Tibet mudslide posts

Chinese authorities have reportedly targeted at least 10 individuals for sharing information or comments on social media regarding the deadly mudslide at Gyirong Port in Tibet. According to a News18 report, these users were coerced into deleting their online posts and remarks about the disaster. While China initially stated that three people had died, the official death toll climbed to 16 by August 30.
