Chhattisgarh HC denies bail to former IAS officer in paper leak case, calls it 'worse than murder'
The Chhattisgarh High Court has turned down the bail plea of retired IAS officer Jeevan Kishore Dhruv. He was taken into custody by the CBI regarding the reported recruitment scam at the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC). During the proceedings, the court remarked that leaking exam papers is a crime even more serious than murder. At the time the suspected irregularities occurred during the 2020-2022 hiring cycle, Dhruv was holding the position of CGPSC Secretary.
