The Integral Coach Factory in Chennai is currently working on a 24-coach Vande Bharat Sleeper train. This expanded train design will have space for approximately 1,224 travelers and will feature AC 3-tier, AC 2-tier, First AC, and a pantry section. The ICF aims to produce 50 of these trainsets in total. This new setup is designed to increase passenger capacity for overnight journeys over long distances.
