Chandrima Bhattacharya resigns from TMC state president role after one month
Three-time MLA and former West Bengal minister Chandrima Bhattacharya has stepped down from all her positions within the Trinamool Congress (TMC), only a month following her appointment as the party's state president. During the earlier Mamata Banerjee administration, she held the role of Minister of State for significant departments such as Health and Finance. Bhattacharya was defeated in the Dum Dum Uttar constituency during the 2026 state assembly polls.
