Chandrayaan-3 findings link lunar soil to meteorite found on Earth
A recent analysis by the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL) in Ahmedabad has shown that the lunar soil examined by the Pragyan rover from Chandrayaan-3 bears a strong resemblance to ALHA 81005, the initial meteorite verified to have come from the Moon. That specimen was located in Antarctica during the 1981-82 period. According to ISRO, this research marks a significant step in directly linking the data gathered by Chandrayaan-3’s APXS instrument with existing records of lunar meteorites.
