As part of the ongoing probe into the fatal shooting of a pharmacy cashier in Sector 11 last month, Chandigarh Police have successfully broken up an inter-state and cross-border syndicate. The group was reportedly involved in trafficking illegal weapons, methamphetamine, and counterfeit Indian currency. Authorities have taken four additional suspects into custody, one of whom is the primary conspirator currently being held at Kapurthala Jail.
