Champat Rai, the former General Secretary of the Ram Mandir Trust, has alleged that Nripendra Misra, the head of the Construction Committee, handpicked individuals for the panel and made all key decisions by himself. Rai further claimed that the choice of L&T for the temple's construction was also Misra's recommendation. In response, Misra stated that he would not comment on the matter until he has personally reviewed the nine-page open letter reportedly written by Rai.
