To address worries regarding the increasing cost and supply of onions in Delhi, the Central government is set to provide 1,000 metric tonnes of the vegetable to the city. These onions will be made available at fair-price outlets for ₹35 per kilogram. CM Rekha Gupta stated that the state administration is keeping a close watch on onion rates and stock levels to ensure that no shortages occur within the capital.
