According to a report by The Economic Times, the government is set to release approximately ₹4,000 crore in the current financial year as part of the production-linked incentive (PLI) program for the auto and auto component sectors. These incentives are earmarked for firms that meet specific sales growth targets for FY26. Bajaj Auto has already become the initial recipient this year, securing a payout of nearly ₹750 crore.
