Centre approves ₹1.1 lakh crore defence deal for Army, Navy, and Air Force equipment
The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) has given the green light to a ₹1,10,000 crore plan to purchase new equipment for the armed forces. Under this approval, the Indian Army is set to receive Trawl Tanks, High Mobility Vehicles (HMV), and Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH). Additionally, the Indian Navy will be equipped with Marine Gas Turbines (MGT) and Arudhra Radars, while the Indian Air Force is slated to acquire the Ground-Based Multi-Purpose Jammer (GBMPJ) system.
