CBI nabs PSU Managing Director in Noida over ₹5 lakh bribe
On July 15, the CBI took Anurag Danayak, the managing director of the central public sector firm Karnataka Antibiotics and Pharmaceuticals Limited, into custody. He was apprehended in Noida while in the act of accepting a ₹5 lakh bribe. This amount was reportedly an installment of a ₹15 lakh demand made to a company based in Bhopal. The agency set up a sting operation in Noida after receiving intelligence regarding the transaction and successfully detained him.
