Case filed against woman for showing Umar Khalid poster at Bengaluru NEET protest
Bengaluru police have filed a suo moto FIR against an unknown woman for holding up posters backing Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam during a demonstration against the NEET paper leak. The police report claims she was exhibiting "provocative placards with intention of inciting unrest and disturbing public peace." Both Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam are currently incarcerated in relation to the 2020 Delhi riots case.
