Calcutta HC permits TMC to access frozen bank accounts under conditions
The Calcutta High Court has granted the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC permission to utilize its three bank accounts, which had been frozen since June, strictly for routine operational costs. The court has designated retired judge Justice Subrata Talukdar as a Special Officer to monitor all financial activities until September 30. According to the order, any cheques issued must bear the signatures of two authorized TMC officials and receive a countersignature from Justice Talukdar before they can be processed by the bank.
