Caffeine and sugar levels in a 250-ml energy drink

The FSSAI has sent notices to drink companies including Monster, Red Bull, and Sting for making deceptive claims about their "energy drink" products. According to experts, the short-term energy spike is mainly due to caffeine, with a 250-ml serving providing about 75 mg. A more significant health issue is the high sugar level, as that same can holds approximately 27 grams of added sugar, which equals seven teaspoons.
