British universities provide fee waivers of ₹10 lakh to lure Indian applicants
To draw in more international students, including those from India, UK-based universities are providing tuition fee reductions reaching up to £8,000 (roughly ₹10.3 lakh). This move follows a drop in foreign student registrations, driven by increasing expenses, stricter visa policies, and a shrinking job market. Approximately 22 institutions are currently providing these automatic discounts, and reports indicate that students do not need to demonstrate high academic achievement to qualify.
