Brent crude climbs past $100 mark for the first time since July
On Wednesday, Brent crude prices surpassed $100 per barrel, reaching $100.19, marking the highest point since July 24. This increase follows growing instability in the Middle East, fueled by attacks on Saudi energy infrastructure by Iran-backed Houthis and retaliatory strikes by US forces against Iranian oil tankers. Since the beginning of last month, Brent has seen a 25% price hike. It is worth noting that the price previously reached a peak of $126.41 per barrel on April 30, which was the highest level recorded since the start of the US-Iran conflict.
