Brazil files ₹925 crore lawsuit against Discord following livestream ban
The Brazilian government has initiated legal action against Discord, demanding approximately $97 million (roughly ₹925.38 crore) in damages. Authorities claim the platform failed to provide adequate safety measures for minors. This legal step follows the July suicide of a 13-year-old girl, which has been connected to the app. Just recently, officials also directed Discord to stop all live streaming services.
