Bombay HC restores 4-star hotel's food licence, says 2 insects not enough for suspension
The Bombay High Court has overturned the suspension of the food licence for Park Inn by Radisson in Navi Mumbai. The court noted that discovering just two insects in a facility that was otherwise 95% compliant did not warrant such a severe penalty. During the hearing, Acting Chief Justice Ravindra Ghuge made a lighthearted remark about a fly buzzing within the courtroom. Addressing the Maharashtra FDA during their ongoing enforcement drive, he stated, "We are in India, we have to take a realistic stand."
