Bombay HC refuses relief to restaurant over 'analogue paneer' case
The Bombay High Court has rejected a request for interim relief from a Thane-based restaurant. The eatery's license was suspended by the Maharashtra Food & Drug Administration (FDA) for providing customers with banned analogue paneer. The court remarked, "You need to suffer first, as you have made people suffer by eating this (analogue paneer)…Poetic justice." The restaurant had argued that the FDA should have provided an improvement notice prior to initiating such strict measures.
