BJP says Kolkata airport mosque relocation is not a religious issue
West Bengal BJP president Samik Bhattacharya has commented on the plan to relocate a 136-year-old mosque situated at Kolkata's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. He stated that the matter should not be framed as a 'Mandir-Masjid' conflict. Bhattacharya emphasized the need for a modern airport, pointing to the development of airport infrastructure in other states. The state government has justified the move by citing operational requirements and security reasons.
