BJP alleges bogus voting by Jan Suraaj in Bankipur by-election
On Thursday, the BJP leveled allegations against Jan Suraaj members, claiming they attempted to cast fake votes during the Bankipur bypoll in Bihar. The party submitted a formal request to the Election Commission, calling for rigorous verification of voter IDs to ensure the election remains transparent. Prashant Kishor, the founder of Jan Suraaj, expressed support for the verification of EPIC cards. Meanwhile, voter turnout in Bankipur reached 34%, while the by-elections in Manjalpur, Gujarat, and Datia, Madhya Pradesh, saw turnout figures of 37% and 71%, respectively.
