Bitcoin drops under $58,000, reaching a 21-month low
Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency globally, touched a new 21-month low this Wednesday. During Asian market hours, the digital currency slid by 1.5% to hit $57,742, marking its weakest point since September 17, 2024, prior to stabilizing by 10 am Singapore time. Data from Bloomberg indicates that Bitcoin has declined more than 50% from the peak of over $126,000 it reached last October.
