In Bihar's Saharsa district, upwards of 100 individuals, among them several children, became unwell after eating prasad at a Satyanarayan Puja. More than 50 of those affected were taken to the hospital for medical care due to symptoms of food poisoning, such as vomiting and diarrhoea. Civil Surgeon Raj Narayan Prasad stated that the situation is currently under control.
